The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame Seeks School Holiday Videos
Do you know of a Long Island high school music department that’s getting ready for their holiday concert? If so, the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame wants to get into the holiday spirit by featuring festive videos produced by Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens music programs!
The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame School Recognition Program is celebrating the holidays virtually this year! Sadly, due to the pandemic, LIMHOF is unable to produce a live holiday event. Instead, this year we have decided to showcase the amazing holiday music that schools are creating under unbelievably difficult conditions. Therefore, for this year’s School Recognition Program holiday event, we are requesting that music teachers and fine arts directors send in one holiday music video from a performing group that best represents your school’s finest musical accomplishment.
It is our honor to acknowledge music programs that are creating valuable experiences for their students and that are incorporating the National and New York State’s Standards for the arts in creative and meaningful ways. Schools’ videos will be reviewed by the LIMHOF Education committee and a panel of music educators. The top holiday videos will be acknowledged publicly by being featured prominently on the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame’s website and social media pages. Schools and Music Teachers/Directors are asked to submit their YouTube links or .mp4 video files to be considered for the recognition program.
Please email your YouTube or .mp4 video link along with following information: Name of School, Name of Music Group, Name of Music Teacher, and Name of Musical Piece.
Please send all holiday videos and information to info@limusichalloffame.org.
