LIMHOF High School Recognition Video applications for 2021 have been posted and are due May 14, 2021
The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame’s School Recognition Program is going virtual this year! Sadly, due to the pandemic, LIMHOF is unable to produce a live event featuring our annual School Recognition winners. Instead, this year we have decided to showcase the amazing music that schools are creating under unbelievably difficult conditions. Therefore, for this year’s School Recognition Program, we are requesting that music teachers and fine arts directors send in one music video from a performing group that best represents your school’s finest musical accomplishment.
It is our honor to acknowledge music programs that are creating valuable experiences for their students and that are incorporating the National and New York State’s Standards for the arts in creative and meaningful ways. Schools’ videos will be reviewed by the LIMHOF Education committee and a panel of music educators. The top videos will be acknowledged publicly by being featured prominently on the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame’s website and social media pages. Schools and Music Teachers/Directors are asked to submit their YouTube links or .mp4 video files to be considered for the recognition program.
Applicants are asked to submit their applications by May 14th in order for their video to be recognized. The application and additional information can be found at: https://www.limusichalloffame.org/hs-recognition-program/
