Dave Widmer
Dave Widmer is the Long Island/Brooklyn Vice President for a4 Media (the advertising division of Altice) and News 12. He oversees all local advertising revenue for News 12 and more than 100 Altice and FIOS cable networks and digital platforms in the Long Island/Brooklyn region. Widmer has been involved in media management for over 30 years and started his career in radio before moving to Long Island in 1998 to become president of The Long Island Radio Group. He began his new role at Altice/News 12 in June 2015. Widmer has been involved with numerous charities on Long Island and in the media industry including New York State Broadcasters Association, Telecare, EAC, Autism Speaks, United Way, and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is the former chairman of Island Harvest and a past member of the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island Leadership Council. Widmer has been recognized numerous times for his philanthropic involvement and received the Gilbert A. Tilles Philanthropic leadership award from the Association of Fund Raising Professionals in 2013. He has helped raise millions of dollars for charities and organizations across Long Island through his fundraising efforts as well as his donation of media and promotional time, which has helped to raise critical awareness for those organizations.
