Music Meets Film!
The Long Island Music Hall of Fame joined with the Long Island Film Festival to spotlight music and film as part of the four day film festival.
On Thursday February 26, LIMHoF board member and Long Island radio legend Denis McNamara moderated a discussion on music and film. The panelists included Steve French (composer/music editor for PARTING WORDS), Dan McLoughlin (composer of score and songs for CALLING IT QUITS), Tony LoGuerico (composer of songs for PERIPHERAL VISION), and LIMHoF board member Beth Krakower.
A full house welcomed LIMHoF chairman Allan Varella the following night as he presented the music awards for Best Original Song to Dan McLoughlin & Chris Trapper (CALLING IT QUITS), Best Original Score to Mick Turner & Jim White (BIG HEART CITY) and Best Score Editing to Steve French (PARTING WORDS). Several LIMHoF board members were part of the jury that selected the winners.
